Scrum Master is a Agile facilitator and “servant leader” who guides a team to successfully follow the Scrum framework. They focus on optimizing team productivity, removing blockers, and coaching members on Scrum principles of self accountability, rather than managing day-to-day tasks or project budgets. Here is the core of what a Scrum Master is according to the framework of Agile Software Development:
“Manifesto for Agile Software Development
We are uncovering better ways of developing
software by doing it and helping others do it.
Through this work we have come to value:
Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Working software over comprehensive documentation
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan
That is, while there is value in the items on
the right, we value the items on the left more.”

At Invincible. One, INC. we are not a software development company, though respect the open building model of leadership here and how it can apply to the business world too. Again lets note what the focus of a CSM or Scrum Master is:
“Individuals and interactions” over processes and tools
“Working software” over comprehensive documentation
“Customer collaboration” over contract negotiation
“Responding to change” over following a plan
Scrum Master vs. Project Manager
Project Manager: Focuses on the project outcome, including budget, resource allocation, and timelines
Scrum Master: Focuses on the team process and health. They are process-owners who empower members to self-organize, and they do not have direct authority over personnel.
